ICOPs
welcomed Southwestern Illinois College members into the union in late 2006 after
the Illinois Labor Board conducted an on-site election resulting in a unanimous
vote for ICOPs.

Stennett, president of the ICOPs Chapter at Southwestern Illinois College, and
Chris Felix, an ICOPs representative at the Granite City Campus, were the first
two public safety officers at the college to graduate from the Illinois Policy
Academy and become full-fledged Police Officers. With them in the photo are
officials of the college.
